Two experiments. Experiments 426 and 782. Two individuals. A boy and a girl. One goal.

Freedom.

In the world us humans live in, humans are born, not controlled. But that is not the case in where they live in. They live in a world parallel to ours, where everyone is data and are all controlled by the Data Tree. One day, their government decided to play God. They decided to create life. Experiments 426 and 782 were the result of that. Two datas.

Miri and Wil. They are the first ones created. They are the prototypes. They are the failures. They only had death awaiting them. The government wants to erase their failed attempts. But before they had the chance, Miri and Wil escapes.

They plunge into a world that was never supposed to know them, that they were never meant to know. Now, the government is on the hunt to capture them, to erase them from the world, to erase their existence. There's only one thing Miri and Wil can do.

"It's not safe here anymore. Go as far as you can from here and never come back. Run."

"It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. Others say it hasn't ended yet and that it's only going to get worse. The remaining people have grouped together in packs and gangs, raiding the desolate cities and avoiding the ones called the Destroyers, who capture and torture the remaining survivors. No one is safe. One fifteen year old boy knows this better than anyone. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. "They took my sister. Now I'm taking her back." Seventeen years ago, humans started developing supernatural abilities. Comic books came true as the first person flew, created fire, mind-read. The world entered a new age where people who could do special things were revered and admired. That all changed when one man lost control of his power and unleashed a huge explosion in a crowded shopping centre, killing over a thousand others. A series of fights involving superhumans broke out, resulting in the destruction of multiple cities and hundreds upon hundreds of further lives lost. The government began hunting down those extraordinary people with the assistance of a specialised unit: trained in recognising different abilities. Suddenly powers became something scary, uncontrollable and dangerous, that nobody wanted to own up to having. Seventeen years after the Explosion, Amelie Rose Carmichael is the daughter of the man who is in charge of hunting down and imprisoning these people. She enjoys a comfortable life, protected from any threats against her. But when Amelie develops an ability without warning, she must try to keep it hidden from her family, her friends, and above all her father. Can she keep a secret? Will she use her powers to help the rebel organisation that has approached her? And what secrets are the people around her hiding?
