This story is similar to the story of Mulan, that will be set in the Hwarang world, although I do not own that or any characters in either stories.
This story is about (Y/N), a peasant that lives outside the capitol of Silla.
When her father is chosen to go and join the queens Hwarang group of soldiers, she takes her fathers gear and goes as his "son" in his place.
Ps. I know that the Hwarang weren't chosen like that, but it just fit the my story.
Ps pt 2: some things in either story will be changed to fit each other in a way that's nice to read.
