The Final Push
What makes your life worth living? For nineteen year old Seraphina Blackford, it's her younger brother, Caiden. Her whole world revolves around him, what is left of the world that is. It's been three thousand years since the last technology was around and the Earth is falling apart. After The Great Break governments fell and chaos took over. After years of death and destruction, all that's left behind are small groups of people that band together in clans. Seraphina or Sera as she prefers to be called, is doing her best to protect her little brother in this dangerous world but all Caiden wants to do though is go on adventures and search for the mystical Paradise. Not only has he murdered but Breccan has made himself a sworn enemy of Sera's. Can they put aside their differences in order to find Paradise? Or will Caiden's life goal go on unfulfilled? There once was a prince, who fell in love with a girl. But she wasn't a princess. She was the hand maiden of a nobleman's daughter, who had eyes for the young prince. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. (Making her naive to the cruelty of the world.) She always wanted to see the world outside of the castle. Though everyone saw her as a weak helpless princess that needs to be protected, and hidden from the cruel world she desperately wants to see with her blue eyes. A witch shows up one late after noon and offers her magic mirror, that can show her the outside world from just looking into it. She only needs to imagine the place she wants to see and will be there. The princess though was being a jerk so the witch cursed the mirror. Making it so that the princess ever looked into it, she will become a fearsome dragon. "The princess will no longer be a princess and she will see the world she desperately wants to see. Her soft skin will turn scaled. Her silk like hair will disappear and be replaced with sharp horns. She will be the monster outside as that she is inside." Whispered the witch.Complete
