This story takes place shortly before Corruption of Heroes. Tim, immortal and alone in the high tech fortress of Mons Olympus, awakens hungover and disoriented. His bio-scanner warns of critical liver damage, but he ignores it, numbed by centuries of grief. As he stumbles through the empty halls, he confronts his unaging reflection and the crushing silence left behind by the deaths of his fellow Techno Knights and the disappearance of Elora. The once glorious citadel is now a mausoleum, and Tim is its last, unwilling sentinel. But when he discovers a cache of notes left behind by Herman, Techno Knight and old friend, also known as the citadel's mad scientist, Tim glimpses a thread of hope buried in the long forgotten achieves. The notes speak of a bridge, a convergence point between worlds, and a final experiment meant to restore what was lost. Tim builds and activates it, expecting silence or ruin but instead finds something, actually, someone unexpected, Lynn. Not the Lynn he remembers, but someone fragile, haunted, and achingly familiar. Drawn into her quiet orbit, Tim begins to question what living, not just surviving, means and whether legacy can be rewritten through tenderness, not war.
