At the camp Maya learns that her teammate Courtney is gay and has a crush on Kyla. Kyla and Courtney know each other, through a mutual friend named Ashley. Courtney confesses she has a crush on Kyla to Maya. Kyla has no idea and no clue Courtney is gay. As the school year goes on Kyla, Courtney, Maya and Ashley all get close.
