(Hi everyone, babytwix61 here. I hope you enjoy this little story, I know I'm enjoying writing it. X3
Also just a little something to say, if you couldn't tell a bit of the story (mostly the main setting the story takes place in) is actually inspired by an awesome game called Buried: An interactive story, by Bromoco Games. And frankly I think you should check it out. X3
But anyway, enjoy the story!)

It's been five years since Kai's life was completely turned upside down, but he is extremely grateful for the things that have happened. The deaths not included, things have changed for the better. Kai feels that if those men and Thorn hadn't showed up at his home, Abby wouldn't be his girlfriend, Chase wouldn't be his best friend, Shintaro wouldn't be an amazing "therapist" (as Chase calls it) to Kai, Linda wouldn't be like a mother to him, Gabriel wouldn't be the funny-in-his-own-antisocial-way friend (he had his own home in the town, so he often visited), and Kai wouldn't be as close to his father has he is now. Kai is actually enjoying his new life in this strange town. The village is "ruled" by a young woman named Ruby, and everyone there adores her for being such a great leader. Kai has only met her once or twice, but she seems very nice. But there is something prickling at the back of Kai's mind, and it unsettles him greatly. Ever since Moon vanished after killing Luke, she hasn't been spotted anywhere. Kai often wonders if she is somewhere far from where they are now, planning her next attack. When a series of strange events start happening around the town, Kai is certain that Moon is back and playing her game with them. In a way, he is right. But there are many things that he is also wrong about. During the midst of it all, Shintaro gets captured, sending Kai down a path of despair and hopelessness. He feels responsible for getting Shintaro back, but he doesn't know what he's up against. Thankfully, his friends don't let him do it by himself. As always, they have his back. And soon, new friends are there behind him, too. The group finds that Moon is behind all of this, but she isn't doing it for herself. She has Shintaro for a certain reason, and the friends are soon to find out what is at stake. The lives of others, including loved ones.

Preface: Crimson Shadows In the shadows, where the light dares not tread, there lies a tapestry of stories - tales woven with threads of crimson, spun from the lifeblood of those who have walked the path of adversity. It is within these shadowed realms that the true mettle of the human spirit is forged, tested by the fires of despair, guilt, and the relentless pursuit of redemption. The pages that follow bear witness to one such story - the journey of Amara Torres, a young woman whose life has been irrevocably altered by a tragedy that has left an indelible mark upon her soul. Haunted by the memories of her past and her late best friend, Amara must navigate the treacherous terrain of depression, self-harm, and the crippling weight of an unspoken secret that threatens to consume her. As Amara returns to the familiar confines of her hometown, she finds herself confronted not only by the remnants of her former life, but also by the enigmatic presence of Nolan Kirovsky - a fellow traveler in the realm of privilege and turmoil. Together, they must confront the shadows that have defined them, forging a path towards redemption and the unearthing of long-buried truths. Through Amara's story, we bear witness to the resilience of the human spirit, the capacity for transformation, and the profound impact that a single moment can have on the trajectory of a life. It is a tale that delves into the depths of the human experience, exploring the complex interplay of loss, guilt, and the the pursuit of healing. So, let us venture forth, into the realm of Crimson Shadows, and bear witness to the extraordinary within the ordinary, the light that shines amidst the darkness, and the extraordinary journeys that unfold when we dare to confront the ghosts that haunt us. The New World has been the last peaceful and resourceful country for nearly two hundred years. Or at least that's what they say. Samantha Ivory has been living a boring average life in an old town with lots of history. That is, until the news of a carnival coming to town ignites new excitement. This carnival promises a night of fun for everyone. There are games, promising rewards, and food that no one has ever seen or tasted before. But what if this carnival isn't what it seems to be? And who are these people that have come into her town? Can Sam figure it out before it's too late, or will she get stuck playing a game she never wanted to play? (Currently completed as of October 2023, and finished editing as of March 2024) *****Excerpt***** Excerpt: Instead of seeing myself standing in front of me, there is somebody else and it's not my brother or anyone I know. A boy no older than me is just standing there, he is wearing a gray shirt with a hole in the shoulder and it has a handful of stains and dirt spots on it. I immediately know he is not from Treegrass. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. I regain my composure and look at him again. That's when he says something that makes my blood run cold. "Run."
