Atem was born into the royal house hold in Egypt. His life was to say the least exceptional. He had anything he could ever want, Toys, games, clothes, pets. Condemned to be lock in his room and forgotten about Atem soon finds comfort in an imaginary friend named Yugi. Ten years later Atem is still locked up like a prisoner. When Atem's father finds out about Atem his mother agrees to have a servant look after him. To Atem's surprise the servant boy looks exactly like his imaginary friend he had when he was younger.
