This is a fanfic of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, so I don't exactly own Eragon, Saphira, Murtagh, Thorn, Alagaesia, and all the other familiar faces. Iara and her family is of my own creation.
By the way, this is an Eragon fan-fiction and takes place twenty years after the events in the Inheritance Cycle. Enjoy!

Erys: An Eragon Fanfiction - (Under Editing)
In the time Eragon has been absent from Alagaësia, the riders have fallen to vices. Few have been able to raise to fulfill the roles the riders had originally been given, and a dark sect-reminiscent of the Foresworn-has risen to power. The cities and villages under their control live in fear, and those not already sworn to them are too weak to fight. Erys is a young girl living a simple village life. When men attack the village, her father disguises her as a young boy and makes her swear never to reveal her identity. When the marauders discover her, they take her and the other women and children hostage. Erys struggles to survive. Hiding her identity is almost impossible, and once they get her to the slave market, she would be trapped forever, and her true identity discovered. She plans her escape every night but has no idea where to go or who to trust. Her only sure plan of action is to free her mother, who has disappeared along with the other women captured the night of the attack. But first she has to escape her captors. Shadow of a Shade
Addiane found her life to be comfortable enough. She may not have known her family, but she was fed and taken care of by those she lived with. She rarely feared for her life, and she was being taught valuable life lessons by those around her. Of course, training to be a Dragon Rider under the Shadeslayer himself, the first proper Rider in a long time, was a major bonus. Addiane wouldn't have thought she'd ever want to leave their little haven. Her curiosity simply got the better of her when Eragon's cousin made a plea for assistance, describing terrifying marauders and bowmen whose aim had been blessed by gods. And of course there was the man who rode the red dragon. Addiane had to know more about him, and about what was going on in the mountains that Eragon Shadeslayer had once called home.
