Anna of Achaea was the daughter of King Physcon and Cleopatra. Her beauty had been told through all of Greece as many had wished to bed her. She was strong of heart, often being called "Ánna i léaina" by her men. Since the fall of the Sasanian Dynasty nearly 6 decades prior, a young general had been rising through the ranks. Many had believed Mark Antony was a great general, one who took pride in his victories and always sought vengeance for his defeats. Anna and Mark knew each other very well from prior encounters, they both served under sister kingdoms and had stood in for their kings for peace accords. Anna hadn't ever liked Mark, he had a sharp tongue and an outdated belief about women. One night the tides of battle change, Mark sets out an army against Annas' in the dead of night as they pass through a neighboring area. He feigns ignorance, claiming the light of the moon distorted their flag and he had been sure it was that of the Geraki. Anna knew better. Her advisor and lifetime friend, Sebastian, warned they should make haste for Achaea. He feared Mark was planning to do something horrible to her and knew that they were safest there. Impenetrable walls overlooked the sea, from their outposts they could see as far out as the city-state of Athens. But Mark had other plans. ---- Please note, this is a fantasy. Though there are remnants of history in it, it does not depict historically accurate information. Total Word Count: 38,929
