There are three choices - Flying, Magic, or Plain Normal. The test I took at the age of 15 revealed that magic best suits me. But flying is my passion. I was born with the ability to fly. Journey with me back in time as I rewrite the first Journal I kept from when I was in high school, and see that maybe even with how horrible life is most of the times, there are little things spread throughout that make life worth living. My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world. Life is a beautiful mess. It's not perfect, and filled with a lot of disappointments, and heartbreak. There are moments when it all feels too much, but there's not much we can do other than go with the flow of things.

They are taken from their homes and the only way to go back home is if they pass. The Test. It could make you. It could destroy you. All you have to do, is pass. It's not one you study for. They're all different. No one is able to talk about it. Not everyone survives. And those who do, are too terrified to talk about it. One thing for sure is, you have to be focused. Any distraction can cost you. Anything could fail you.

Everyone was the same. You wake up, change into the same outfit, and then go to school. Society made you all equal, so no person was different from another. If you were strange, you were diagnosed as a Different. For everyone was to wear the same things, act the same, and love the same. A normal person would fall in love after they were twenty to someone of the opposite gender. Marriages were considered a hassle, so you would not have a ceremony, just decide if you wanted to be married or not. Once married, there was no divorcing. For if you were not normal, you'd be coded. Normals wear white, Differents wear black.

For Scott, dreams were an escape. An escape from a life in which everyone pities him. Because in real life, Scott couldn’t see a thing. It was an accident, when he was a senior in high school. One year ago. An accident that left him blind and alone. Until Mitch. For Mitch, nothing was an escape. Dreams meant nightmares and real life meant Travis. And Travis meant pain. For Mitch, nothing was an escape. Until Scott. Scott, the blind boy who he’d agreed to help out because he needed the community service. Scott, the blind boy who was the only one who saw the world his way. Scott hadn’t wanted to be the charity case. But he needed the help, only being blind a year. So he let Mitch become his helper. "I can't do this anymore; I just can't!" A line said in almost every individual's life. We all at one stage in our life dealt with such pain; where dying is easier then living. But, it's all a rollarcoaster that we have to fight through. I was once a shy, scared and sad little girl and now I'm a confident, compassionate and cheerful young lady. But, I wasn't always like this; at many stages I was extremely depressed. I know this seems like the stereotypical teenager's story but it was something much much more. Give my story a read and lets ride the rollarcoaster together. You never truly know what can impact you the most. It could be a book or even another person. Never close yourself off to be alone because you're shutting yourself from the beautiful world we live in together. Expect the unexpected and always reach for the stars. I hope you guys ride along and we can over come any scenario together as one.

Hi, I'm Nate. I go to a normal school in a normal city, in a normal world. My life is pretty boring and normal. That is if you forget about the chance to be born with powers and if you do happen to have powers, than you will be hunted and jailed for just existing. And I may or may not have gotten my own set of powers but to really find out about me, then read my journal! And then you should probably burn it so you don't get arrested for knowing me.
