When Aiydin Carter first moves into the white ranch house in Cannelton, Indiana, she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she could have fun while remaining safe from her haunting past. A plan that is ruined the moment she meets Hunter Myers, A.K.A your stereotypical popular player. You know, the usual.
Little did she know this was far from the usual.
From the moment he set eyes on Aiydin, Hunter knew there was something different about her. Something... off. Dark. And, sometimes, she could be scarier than hell. He also knew that he was completely in love with her. There was no denying it. She is a puzzle that he is hell-bent on solving her.
But, Aiydin doesn't think anyone deserves to be caught up in her wreck of a life. Nobody would want to stick around after hearing about what happened four years ago. Right?
Turns out, there is one person who would stick around. Hunter.
Slowly, Hunter starts to break down her walls, finding the sweet, funny girl that hides behind the Ice Queen persona. And, strangely enough, Aiydin doesn't mind. She feels alive again.
But fate has something else in store for them.
Gwendolyn was different. There was no doubt about it.
She was told constantly by her friends that she had a body to die for.
She was sarcastic and was never one to entertain the circus. If she had something to say she would say it.
After being cheated on by her ex, exacting revenge on him, and being harrased by the younger one of her bosses, Gwendolyn manages to get a new job with the help of her Best friend working for the fearsome Xavier Wells.
He was cold, distant and had a mysterious past. He had always worn dark sunglasses, even when there was no sun.
Xavier found himself lost, not knowing what to do, everytime he was with Gwendolyn or if he even thought about her.
His dark past taught him that people couldn't love, it was just lust or too much to drink. Until her. Gwendolyn made him feel again.
Though he warned her everytime that she must not fall for him. They both fell before realizing it.
Now she was his and He would not lose her as well.
