In an AU, those with gifted blood are trained their whole lives at a special academy. When the gifted turn nineteen, they will receive control of one of the four elements - earth, water, air, and fire.
Five friends - Kevin, Kirstie, Scott, Avi, and Mitch - all have gifted blood and attend the Elemental Academy. Kirstie, Scott, and Mitch are all the same age and are on the eve of discovering their powers, while Avi and Kevin (both two years older than the other three) wait excitedly to congratulate their friends.
But when the day comes for Kirstie, Scott, and Mitch to get their powers, one of them gets something no one expected...
