BANG BANG!!!
The sound of gun shots firing woke me up. What was going on? Was mum and dad okay?!
I slowly make my way downstairs, scared of not only the dark but because something bad was going on.
"Ethan!" I heard my dad scream my name, "Where's your brother?!" He asked, soon I heard the pattering of feet coming down the stairs.
Soon, mum appeared with tears streaming down her face; what was happening?! She ran over to Grayson and I and wrapped us up in a tight hug. "Ethan, Grayson! Oh my god, thank god you guys are okay!"
"M-mum what's going on?" I asked; terrified.
"Ethan, Grayson. Listen to me, make your way to the car now don't worry about your clothes. Your father and I will be right behind you." We both nodded and ran to the car.
Soon, mum and dad came running out and jumped in the car, "Mum, where are we going?" Grayson yawned, it was 1 o'clock in the morning.
"On an adventure. Now go to sleep, both of you. Remember that your father and I love you both very much." Mother spoke, turning to face us while dad started driving.
"We love you to, mummy." We both said before we both drifted off to sleep.

When I awoke, I wasn't in the car. Grayson was still next to me; sleeping. I gently shook him to wake him up and he slowly rubbed his eyes. "Are we there yet?"
"Grayson! We're not in the car and mummy and daddy aren't here!" I cried; we were somehow on a picnic bench.
"Mummy! Daddy!" Grayson cried out.
Our parents had abandoned us. They abandoned their seven year old sons....

It's weird how two people can change your whole life, for the better or worse. I furrowed my brows, subconsciously softly pressing my finger tips onto it. I watched as his jaw clenched, his fist ball up so hard his knuckles became a ghostly white, and his eyes become hooded. He took a step forward as I took another back. He didn't care much for the movement, grabbing onto my forearm and pulling me towards him. "what the fuck happened?" He growled, his minty-vodka breath fanning my face. With the hand not holding me in place, he softly touched my jaw. His rough calloused fingers and soft touch were a contrast to the anger seething from his body. It wasn't until then I remembered the bruises. "what do you mean?" I innocently asked, yanking my arm from his grasp. I tried to back away, but he held onto my chin with his fingers, glaring daggers into my eyes. His orbs suddenly turned a lighter shade, inspecting the damage done. "who hurt you?" His eyes not once left the bruises. I was ashamed but the anger boiling below my surface was becoming hotter and hotter and soon I would explode. "hickeys. Leave me the fuck alone, I'm fine." I said between teeth, pulling away once again. This time he took me by surprise, actually letting me walk away. I turned on my heel until he grabbed my shoulder and pulled me close. "That's not a hickey, I've seen hickeys. I've given hickeys. That is not a hickey. Now answer my damn question, who fucking hurt you!" At this point, the whole crowed turned to watch us. "You.
