Aqualina

Aqualina was what seemed like a normal 12 year old girl. She was good at school, with A's and B's, and had a good reputation. She lived with her dad most of her life, thinking that she had no mom. But there was a secret she soon found out: Aqualina was part mermaid, as her mom is the queen of an underwater kingdom called Merlandia. In the story, it's her last day of school, and her dad takes her to the beach, where Aqualina finds out about her mom and Merlandia.
