Everyone suffers no matter how much we think we're alone, there maybe someone out there more disconnected from the rest of the world. If you had the power to help the other and didn't take it does that make you a bad person? If you had one chance to correct the world would you take it? If you were given one power what would it be? No matter what choice you make it will come haunting back to you. The good the bad there's a fine line between what people perceive as good and bad it's up to you to decide that.

Heather lives her life with one purpose: to make her father proud. She's a straight-A student, obedient, respectful, and determined never to disappoint him. Her father has only one rule: no dating in school. But everything changes when she falls in love and gets caught. Her father's reaction is swift and brutal. The man she once admired becomes unrecognizable-controlling, angry, and even physically abusive. Confused and devastated, she can't understand why he treats her so cruelly, especially when her older sister, now in college, never saw this side of him. When her father announces he's marrying a lawyer from his firm, she hopes for change. Instead, things only spiral further. The abuse intensifies, and the emotional wounds deepen as he begins to blame her for her mother's death. In a desperate search for love, truth, and freedom, she uncovers painful secrets buried within her family-realizing her entire life has been built on lies. By the time she pieces everything together, it's too late. What she wanted was simple: happiness, love, and her father's acceptance. What she gets is betrayal, loss, and a shattering truth that will haunt her forever until the day she dies.

People always say every life should be cherished. That every single one of them is equally fragile and precious. Like a beautiful glass sculpture or the blossoming flowers in spring. But the thing is, everyone's definition of beautiful is different. Some people prefer roses over orchids. Some of them like sculptures of people whereas others like sculptures of animals. And so there are times when even the most beautiful sculpture gets thrown away like trash or forgotten somewhere because they found one that's prettier. The beautiful flowers that bloomed in spring will wither away and eventually become nothing but dust. There are times when a sculpture in itself could be really beautiful but a tiny flaw will make people deem it as a "mistake". The flowers that are left to wither away just because they miss a leave, or because they aren't the right size or the right colour. So you see that saying about every life being equally precious?, yeah that only counts for the "perfect" ones. Still some of these faulty sculptures and broken flowers managed to make it into the world. They would be facing the harsh reality of this world and would have to fight to survive. Some of them would unfortunately lose this fight in the end, leaving to a faraway place in hopes to find peace and quiet. Still just being able to make it this far in this harsh world is something to be proud of, as friends and family will forever remember these brave individuals who fought hard to survive until the very end.

Regardless of size, putting your life on hold until you reach that perfect weight, does no one any good. This will be my collection of poems reflecting on societies obsession with weight and size and the effect this has on us and how we can change this. We shouldn't be allowing it to determine whether we should be happy, successful or loved. Enough is enough. Start living. You deserve it all now.
