Over two thousand years ago, the Roman empire was a thriving, unstoppable and brutal force that ruled land in Europe, Africa and Asia. Founded in 27 BC and finally dissolved in 476 AD, the Roman empire left a huge mark on history.
But what if it never fell? What if it was still around today - still as a global superpower?

It was a normal nation meeting. They held one annually at least 3 times a year. However, this meeting ended up turning the world on their heads. Their parents, the ancients, who have long since passed on cannot stand to watch their children suffer. With this a plan is formed to help, even if only just a little. It's August 64 AD. Three years earlier 20.000 Roman soldiers were butchered in a bloody revolt against the Roman occupation of Britain. The Romans restored order quickly. This followed by increase and prosperity within the new province. London became the provincial capital and the center of international merchandise. The new Roman roads and new Roman towns made transportation easier, quicker and attractive. It is at this time, that in Northern Europe a big economic recession occurred. Under Roman rule, the economy of the British tribes was initially focused on trading with the Mediterranean, Indian, Southeast Asian and Chinese markets. Suddenly, shocking news arrived in Britain of a terrorist attack on both Rome itself and on Lyon, the Capital of Gaul. Both cities were the target of mass pyromania and hundreds of thousands of people died. The merchant-ambassadors of the far east kingdoms Funan, Mahan, Baekje, Gaya, Jinhan, Silla, Ryuku, Mon, and Kyushu, became worried that this might lead to an end of their position in Britain. They feared that Nero might use this attack as an excuse to close down the Maritime Sino-Roman trade in silk, rice, art and wine. The arms race began in Mesopotamia with the invention of composite bows, light chariots and crossbows. The Persian (Iranian) emperor tried to conquer Athens in 480 BCE but was delayed by the Spartans at Thermopylae while Greek warships destroyed the Persian fleet. The Macedonian ruler, Alexander the Great, completely destroyed the Persian armies by 326 BCE and established the Greek empire. Then, between 600 and 200 BCE, a few hundred Greeks revolutionized science, mathematics, medicine, engineering, history, law and philosophy. Meanwhile, Greeks settlers in Sicily were in conflict with Rome and, by first century BCE, Romans had conquered Greece, Egypt, Carthage and the old Persian empire. Roman traders made large profits using the Silk Road between Rome, China and India and which created higher incomes though out the Roman empire. Roman engineers built more than 80,000 km of roads throughout the empire and 800 km of aqueducts in Rome delivered a million cubic metres of water each day.
