"Things won't change. We'll both join volleyball, basketball, and even do some softball." Katie said as she's trying to figure out what to wear for her first day of school, which is months away. "We'll become popular and then Cody will come back to me and we'll hook you up with one of his friends." She found a shirt and threw it at me. "Here you can borrow this" She throws the shirt at me.
I look at it and immediately know that it's not going to fit me. I set it down on her bed. "Um I have some bad news; I'm actually moving at the end of the summer." I've been dreading telling her for a few months now.

Sage Watson moved to North Carolina her freshman year of high school and loved it. She made new friends, lost that baby fat, and got even better at basketball. That's when her Mom got a great promotion at work that led to her family moving back to her hometown.
Now back and better than ever she's learning that things weren't as she left them. Katie , her middle school best friend, became the new queen bee, her middle school crush turned into the school bad boy, and even the basketball teams once fabulous dynamic was destroyed.
Getting back into the swing of things might be more difficult than she expected.
