I was just thinking. I swear. But maybe my mind over thought. It's weird that everything can seem so simple, straight forward. Black and white. Two colors. So obvious. So there. Him and Her. Two people. So obvious. So there. But once you add gray, things get kind of complicated. Then you add color. And it's a wonderfully complicated bright world. She's two in one. The storm and the shade. No one ever stops to thank the storm for shading them from what's above it. What if the sun was too strong, too powerful that day and the storm came along just to protect us all from it? It was this epic battle between the two and the storm was hurting and it cased all this damage to the earth. No one thanks the storm for its sacrifice when it finally loses the battle and the sun shows its smug face. We all hate the storm for the disaster it created and praise the sun, when the storm just wanted to protect us. The storm and the shade. She's the storm and the shade. She's the chaos and the calm. Only I can't see the chaos. Not fully. She's keeping it all inside. All I see is the calm. I can tell though. I can tell there's chaos. I just can't see it. It's not so black and white. That's when I noticed the pool of tears for everything that he had left unspoken, with one blink they would be running down his cheeks. And I hope he didn't let them, because I couldn't see him cry. "I love you, and it's killing me." I bit my lip painfully trying to stop myself from crying. He was the right one, my heart told me when my eyes first landed on him. But he wasn't mine, and that tore me up. Because I craved him to be. I sighed, "you're breaking my heart billie." I whispered, watching the tears roll down his dull face. "I love you. And loving you feels like some sort of self destruction when I'm not suppose to but my god armstrong I love you." I sobbed. It seems to be that love could be labelled poison and we would drink it anyways. I looked at him, the sadness in his eyes felt like it was tearing me up from the inside starting with the heart. But I felt guilty to look away. "But you know we shouldn't." I said Painfully, he nodded biting his lip. "We should only be friends." "But friends don't look at each other the way we do." And I needed him, he was my life line. And he told me he needed me, he said I was his sanity. But although it felt we lived worlds against each other, one thing we both knew was. 'I'm fine.' Sounds the same. Even when it's not true ----------------- She loved him more than he would ever know. And he loved her more than he would ever show. What a tragedy. I didn't ask to be born into this world, none of us did but we make the best of it. I'm a twenty-five year old single man. Why you may ask? Because I've seen what love can do to a person. It can destroy them. My parent's are amazing but I can still remember the time's my father threatened to kill my mother, left us due to his mental illness. Besides who needs one main women when I can have a different one under me every night, money to blow and fast cars. I'm just enjoying my time until I take my Papes place at the throne. Most nights are spent living it up with my cousins who are my only friends. However there is the one girl that has caught my eye and I don't know why. I first spotted her at a random coffee house I stepped into. Usually I'm very talkative especially when I'm trying to snag a chic but I couldn't utter a word to her. I barely managed to place my order. Now, I find myself going out of my way to stop by that coffee shop everyday. It doesn't matter that it's out of my way. The only thing that matters is that I see her. I knew I could take her if I really wanted to but I can't make myself to do it. She sees me enter and shoots me that amazing smile and prepares my order without even asking what I want, she knows. She'll offer a greeting but all I can do is nod my head. She makes me lose my word's. Deep in my mind I wonder if she could be the one that could change my mind on love and that scares me. For now I'm satisfied at seeing her for the few minutes it takes to get my coffee. Besides I'm a killer, a future mob king and she's this delicate flower that wouldn't understand my world. My thoughts were consumed by the distance between us rather than his question. Then I heard his deep, almost seductive voice near my ear. "Do you like this, babe?" he whispered, his warm breath fanning my ear, sending a tingling sensation through me. Heat rose to my cheeks, and beads of sweat formed across my forehead.
