During April of the year 1997, Teresia Atwood had the worst day of her life. She’d walked into her boss’ office one day, believing she was getting promoted when instead she was fired on the spot. She ran out of the office in a raging fit and she waited for the elevator that took ages and when it finally came, it broke and she was stuck in it for a whole two hours.

Then she pulled out her keys to unlock her car but found it had been stolen. She’d had to walk the three-hour-walk to her condo and then she’d noticed the sign on her lawn that said ‘FOR SALE’. The bank told her she had been overdue on rent and so they were selling it, she tried to use the money in her bank account but found she had none at all.

And then her mother calls.
