Tell me one thing before I begin telling my story. Tell me who told the world to praise the light, but fear the dark? Was it the fact that humans feared the unknown or the sole fact of the lack of control over things, in the dark the possibilities are endless. Well literally and metaphorically. you know when people say "don't keep me in the dark?." Our whole world is kept in the dark, everything we are scared of, everything we fear, everything that grabs at us in dreams and nightmares. All these things don't even begin to cover the reality of our fears and the control that grips our non valiant souls in a tight wounded noose, keeping us from doing what we want just from being afraid of the dark. But what if I told you, that monsters don't just walk in the dark, but the light too.

"I'm not afraid of you," I tell him, stepping closer into the darkness. "You should be," he tells me, sinking farther away from me. "I only cause death to those I touch." ******,****************************** For hundreds of years, they walked in the shadows. Among us, besides, they fought our battles and stood with us. Now they rise up taking over with a power no one understands. Evelyn was born into the world of darkness. There is no sunlight and is controlled by vampires. She knows the law that anyone out after midnight is free food for the poor souls that can't afford the blood banks. So one night wouldn't hurt, right?
