"What is it?" I asked as I looked at the supposedly world-changing machine. It looked like a tanning bed hooked up to lots and lots of monitors. It didn't really seem all that special to me.

"We call it the Eden Weaver." The Professor replied.

"Why?" I inquired once more.

"Because, Child, we are all related to the inhabitants of Eden, are we not? And this device uses the genetic memory that resides within your DNA to take you back to a time when a certain ancestor of your's lived. YOU are time traveling, but your BODY is staying here in the present. Your chosen ancestor will be serving as a host as you live, act, and see through her eyes and body. It's all really one big logical time contradiction, or a temporal paradox, as I like to call it." Dr. DuPont thoroughly explained.

"So you are saying that I, Giselle Acadia Beaumont, born in the year 2000 Ano Domini, could go all the way back in time and live through Eve. The Eve. The first woman. The one who ate the apple and betrayed God." I stated in disbelief.

"That is what I am saying." Dr. DuPont echoed.

"Dear God..."
