16- year-old Bianca Mallory has lived in Rockport, Maine all her life. She was born there, raised there, made friends there, lost friends there, everything. She knows everyone in here neighborhood and everyone knows her; her father died of cancer when she was 7 years old. After he died, the entire neighborhood pitched in while her mother looked for a second job to support her, Bianca, and Bianca's little brother, Ryan.
There is only one family that Bianca doesn't know, and that is the new family that moved in next door to her. She notices that the family next door has 2 sons and one woman that Bianca presumes to be their mother. One son looks to be Bianca's age and the other looks to be Ryan's age.
2 weeks later, the boys start school. The older boy is actually put in Bianca's english class at Camden-Rockport high school. What's even better is that the teacher puts him right next to Bianca. Or is it better?
