Once you start reading the hate, you don't stop. You repeat the words over and over in your head until you believe it's true yourself. It's not going to stop, you'll just have to learn to live with it. Always being a little more sensitive when it comes to critic, Ashton finds himself having a hard time dealing with the hate, that comes with being famous. His band mates, however don't seem to notice, they themselves don't have a problem when it comes to hate, they simply learned to ignore it. Ashton didn't. He never learned how to do that. He had already cut before and managed to stop, for the band, for the fans, for his friends. But the constant hate seems to trigger it again and this time his friends don't realize what's going on, except for Luke. He notices soon enough, at least everyone hopes that it was on time.

5 Seconds of Summer are a few shows away from the end of the Where We Are tour back in 2014. Next, they're going to be selling out concerts, playing in stadiums, and living their dreams even more than they are currently. But just because things are wonderful on the outside, doesn't mean things are scratch-free under the surface. Luke is battling a war against himself, though he would never admit to it. He thinks he's completely fine; he's not doing anything out of the ordinary. He's just improving himself. Cutting out junk food and adding in some exercise isn't harmful. But obsessing over weight, restricting food intake, being afraid to eat? That's a different story... But Luke is handling it. Luke is in control. At least, that what he thinks. While on tour Ashton has been struggling the past couple of months, while no one seems to notice, until Luke does one day. Luke who has started drinking again struggles to contain his back and forth mindset with his feelings towards Ashton and his own issues. Luke's battle with substance abuse and Ashton's declining mental health, mixed into their already crazy lives, starts a horrible downhill spiral for one of them. The last thing Ashton ever wanted to do was hurt Luke, but he couldn't help it. The singer was just so beautiful, so ethereal and otherworldly that it took his breath away most of the time. Everyone felt that way about their best friend though, right? It was normal. No use getting unnecessary feelings involved, it was better this way. Luke understood. Luke wasn't sure when this thing between him and Ashton started, or how it started, but it didn't matter. He was in too deep to go back now. So Luke would let Ashton use him, hurt his feelings and crawl back with apologies. Because at the end of the day, even when Luke had to watch Ashton leave the bar with a new pretty blonde each night, he knew the drummer would eventually end up back in his bed. And Luke told himself he was okay with that.

Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin were two completely different boys. Not only social wise but in many other ways. Let's start. Let's start with Luke. Luke lives in Australia with both of his parents. He is an only child and have a pretty easy life. His father is the headmaster of his high school. How cool? But it's not because his father is the headmaster that the lad like school, on the opposite, he hates it more than anything. Luke doesn't care about school and grades, he wants to sing. And to sing, you need a voice, nothing else. Barely a month after the school started, due to an incident at school, the last one is forced to sign up to the school's exchange project. Let's talk about Ashton now. They younger boy lives in England with his mother and younger siblings. His mother own a flower shop and he loves to help her with both her clients and family wise. Ashton work hard at school and loves to get good grades. He doesn't have a tons of friends but he is graceful to anything he have. Ashton also loves new experiences so he decided to sign up to his school's exchange project to learn about someone else's culture and life style. What will happen when both boys - one forcefully did but it doens't matter, right? - sighed up to an exchange project?
