She braced herself for the answer that she dreaded...

'Oh, no...,' she gasped. She had half expected him to say this, but it was still a huge shock. It must have been the watch, she thought.
'What'd d'ya think it wuz, 1882?' He chuckled.
'No... I thought it was 2017.'"

When Avery Wattson discover's the watch invented by her father, she has no idea of the power it holds, but she soon finds herself centuries before her time. She travels to the 1500s and 1782 with a genuine African American slave and her dog. Then they encounter an unruly band of pirates, but just when they think it's all over, it's really just beginning.
