He's trying his best to keep it together for the party, but watching your first girlfriend disappear into nothingness is certainly the kind of thing that will mess you up for life.
By chance he's thrown back into the tangle of the Upside Down, opening a whole other gate of problems; and this time, the clock is ticking.
