Into the Shadows

"This is my offer. I will save your boyfriend but you will have to come be with me and leave everything behind, or you can just leave him here to die a horrible death"

The girl looked to her lover, the arrow sticking out of his chest, his limbs broken and his skull cracked open.

She then looked at The Man, who wore a black cape with a hood which obscured his face. She didn't know what he looked like, nor did she know what she was in for when she agreed to his offer.

"I'll do anything, just save him, please"

"Will you really? This is a decision you will not be able to take back"

The girl thought of her lover. The way his body fell into the river, hitting the rocks with a sickening crack.

"Yes. I will do it, just swear that you will save him"

The man smiled, then at once, her lover's limbs went back into place, his cracked skull closing up.

"Now it's time for you to honor your end of the deal"

And with a spin of The Man's hand, she was gone.
