Book 1 of 3 in the Barron Series

This book was re-edited roughly 4 times, each time in an effort to make the book less 'cringe'. The story is based on a game we used to play in my elementary school we named 'The Power of Cheese' between me and over 12 kids that we played every day at recess for (at least) 3 consecutive years. It was a roleplaying game where everyone had superpowers and controllable dimensions. In this new story, the characters are renamed (confidentiality) but the powers are the exact same. The plot was changed, but I kept it as close to the original without it sounding like it came from the minds of a gaggle of 10-year-olds. Characters were cut, the dialogue was refurbished, the jokes are more modern but still not as funny, and will probably be rewritten again. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

"What the actual fuck? There is a fucking goat in my locker. What the fuck is going on. There is a dog here too?" I can barely stand up because I'm laughing so much and Gabriel can't breath. "This is so funny. I knew this was a good idea." When Thea comes back to her hometown after being gone for a year she hopes to keep a low profile, and accidentally befriending her old friend, getting a panic attack when homecoming is mentioned in front of the whole school and getting arrested along with the principle for having a affair with him don't help her much. Add getting caught making out with your friend on the couch, pranking the school, going back to the gang she grown up with, taking her goat to school multiple times and accidentally fall into a classroom after sneaking around in the ventilation system because drugging her old school seams fun. Yeah, being back won't be easy and she won't go unnoticed like she hoped. THE FIRST CHAPTERS MAY BE BORING AND BAD. I WROTE THEM A WHILE AGO, BUT ENJOY ANYWAYS. WARNING, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK IS PROBABLY ON DRUGS AND I HAVE THE WORST GRAMMAR BECAUSE ENGLISH ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE, IF YOU SEE A GRAMMAR OR SPELL ISSUE, PLEASE COMMENT AND I WILL FIX IT. ALSO, THIS BOOK IS KINDA OFFENSIVE, A LOT OF BAD LANGUISH, BAD THINGS AND OTHER NON KID ACCEPTED THINGS, SO DON'T READ IT IF YOU'RE TOO YOUNG AND SENSITIVE TO THAT SHIT. NOW I HAVE WARNED YOU, DON'T HATE ON ME THEN. I ALSO HAVE THE WORST HUMOR SO PREPARE FOR BAD JOKES AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

In which Ted Nivison tries to survive the apocalypse, with superpowers. --- "In this situation, solitude was safer, of course. Less of a chance of suddenly getting attacked by an elemental monster. Other people were dangerous, Ted knew, so he did his best to stay away from them. But here's the catch: it was incredibly fucking lonely." --- Disclaimer: These are heavily fictionalized versions of the creators involved, written for the sake of fiction, to practice my writing, and to have fun. I have nothing but respect for these people and I want to make sure I'm respecting their boundaries; I won't include shipping or graphic violence. If you think I'm still crossing any boundaries with this story, please let me know; and as always if I make anyone involved uncomfortable and you'd like me to take this down, I'll gladly do so. Thank you! --- EDIT November 13th 2020: See the beginning of "we're gonna pretend (intermission)" for a full explanation of the state of this work. But, in summary, I took a six-month hiatus after chapter 7 was published, and basically just stopped writing. Chapters 8 and 9, an interlude and the epilogue, are the only two chapters I had that were at any stage of completion whatsoever, and were originally going to be the 13th and 19th chapter respectively. The first six chapters are still a completed "arc", and 7, 8 and 9 can pretty much stand on their own. The rest of the story remains unwritten and unpublished, but I at least wanted to get the concepts I did have out there for you to read. I'm sorry I can't give you a complete story, but, well, I hope you can enjoy this regardless.

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.
