Meet Ceto Umbra. She's special - but she doesn't know it. Raised in a world away from those like her, she hasn't a clue who and what she truly is.

Meet Nox Daemon. He's special - and he damned well knows it. A man with more charm than most would know what to do with, the sex appeal of a Greek God, and one tiny little itty bitty secret.

He's a Sin Eater. He seeks out those drowning in their own sinful behaviour - gluttons and drunks, whôres and pimps, axe murderers and serial killers. They're all the same to him. Food. He devours the evil inside of them and sends them on their way. Technically a demon, he's a special breed. Nox and his kin are the ones that decide who goes to Heaven...and who goes to Hell.

She's a Nyad. Though she doesn't know it. Ceto hasn't a clue of her elemental heritage - or the part she plays in the Game of Souls. You see, water is a special sort of element. It cleans and purifies - but it kills and wreaks it's own havoc as well. Rather than see her turned in to a pawn in the Game of Souls, as so many of their kind have throughout Time, Ceto's parents send her far away from their home. Raised by Supernaturals with one ear to the ground in all things Paranormal world-wide, Ceto begins to suspect everything isn't quite what it seems to be.
