Seeing Stars

After the newest Plague, America had been turned into a nation of protection, where a world leader from the remaining, functioning countries has been selected. These countries are Britain, the United States and Australia. The New Nation has made many changes to the world, but the biggest by far is the Light Law.

Darkness has become illegal.

100 years later, nobody from the previous generation remains. Nobody has ever seen the dark. As soon as the sun seems to be going down, the city lights are switched on, illuminating the streets. The people even sleep in the light, because they, too, have lights that are automatic.

Not one person has ever seen the night. Nobody has seen the stars.
