Have you ever wondered what happens to your nightmares? Who has the unfortunate job of seeing your darkest thoughts and forbidding them to a unknown land? Meet Monster, a nightmare misfit who is different to others of his kind. Unlike other nightmares he has feelings not only to his kind but towards humans as well. His life was fine until the night he went to Sadie Jones to collect her darkest fears and his world turned upside down.

A voice asked. "You'll catch a cold, why didn't you take your jacket?" I spun around, and my eyes locked with Marcus's eyes. "Hey," I said, my voice a little trembling from the cold, and I wrapped my arms across my chest, my shoulders stiffening. I had not expected that it would be so cold. My fingers dug into my sleeves, and I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, trying not to shiver too obviously. Marcus didn't answer right away. He just looked at me for a second, then stepped forward. Silently, he slid off his jacket and placed it over my shoulders, and I ensnared it tighter around me immediately.
