Her mothers death triggered something in her mind , and she decided to run away from home , to never look back . 5 years later she is living in an apartment in the ghetto struggling to survive on her own . She works at a small grocery store on the verge of foreclosure and all she can do is pray that god will pick up the broken pieces of her life. One day she meets a man named Brock. From first sight , he knows that he is going to spend the rest of his life with this girl. But will he last long enough to break through her protective shell and make her feel the same?
