Grand Finale is a 19,000 word sci-fi novella by T. J. P. Campbell divided into 13 chapters. It is a proof-read pre-published version with good grammar and punctuation.

Mankind has discovered two wormholes into foreign worlds; much to our misfortune. Near the isolated town of Ernstburgh, two college students have just disappeared, likely due to the beings that came through the wormholes. Seeking to escape his depressing day-to-day life, 20-year old Lucas Anderson decides to investigate the disappearances, only to become a victim himself, too. Once he wakes up on a distant moon, he knows he must get back to Earth. On his quest, he meets several aliens and eventually the two college students. Together, they embark on an interstellar adventure of galactic proportions, seeking to understand the truth behind what's going on. [-] New chapters will be released every Sunday, if possible. Honour-bound to keep the streets safe, Ian is a SynTracker: someone whose job is to hunt down BioSynths - obsolete yet incredibly dangerous synthetic self-aware weapons - and return them to the government, to be reprogrammed and repurposed. It'd be an easier task if they hadn't been programmed to mimic reactions that allow them to pass as humans, complete with tears. Deeply in love with Quentin, his husband of eight years, Ian's home life more than makes up for the work that wears him down. But a car crash that could have killed Quentin reveals a shocking truth: his husband has been replaced by a BioSynth. With the impostor on the loose, Ian must now Track it, knowing he needs to comb its memories for any clue regarding Quentin's whereabouts - if he's even alive. ≡≡≡ SynTracker was written for the Open Novella Contest 2021 and is based on prompt #4: You're a weapon, and weapons don't weep. In the end, Jia Yi was murdered inside of his Workstation while he attempted to recode a software that could've made fighting the Aliens easier. When Jia Yi opens his eyes there's a man discussing with him how much of a waste it would be for him to die; next thing he knows he's World Hopping. I must make everyone happy? How do I accomplish that? You want me to make that vindictive backstabber happy? Dream on. Wait, why are these two incessentally bothering me?
