Taylor Jackson loves what she does. She grew up around the rodeo circuit while her dad was a team roper, and she hasn't thought about leaving it once. She and her quarter horse mare, Misty, have been climbing the ranks of the barrel racing from the start and she's so close to her goal, the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. But one phone call brings her back to her home town and her life erupts into mayhem. Alyiah Chase is the complete opposite of Taylor in every way. She's grown up in the horse showing business and has competed in the ring since she was five. She's the Junior National Champion for dressage and jumping and lives in a nice house right next to a huge barn. Her life is practically perfect, except for one thing, her mother. Always living in the fear of losing the most important thing in the world, her horse, Shadow, Alyiah never has time for friends. And then a friend of her father appears, and he and his family are invited to stay. Two girls on completely different sides of the equestrian world united by one common event. They could very easily turn out as enemies, or they could be the best of friends. It all comes down to one question, what are the most important things in life?
