The year 2311. Robots, flying hovercrafts instead of cars, hoverboards, the cure of many dangerous diseases, it all exists already. Scientists are even busy with creating portals that will lead you to other dimensions. Caylin's and Delphi's father, Maceton Blackwhill is one of those scientists. The family Blackwhill lives under the dictature of Selphom, a dictator that finds equality more important than freedom, and decided to send every Jiskim to jail. A Jiskim is someone with supernatural powers. The capitol is sure that there are no Jiskims left, but little did they know that some of them are still roaming around, free. Caylin, is one of them. When Caylin's neighbour, Prine catches Caylin using her powers, she immediately tells an authority about this. The next day, the authorities arrive in front of her door, but they mistake Delphi, the twinsister of Caylin for being a Jiskim, and they take her instead. Will Caylin be able to find Delphi, and save her no matter what awaits her? Or will she fail, and lose her twinsister, forever?

How I Saved the World (Or So They Told Me)
Pen's uncle is a cop, and ever since she was able to crawl, she was being versed in the arts of stranger danger (and possibly a few karate, ninja-like moves). So when some unknown guy begins to chat her up through her car window, and then goes on to watch her as she drives away, she does what she's been taught: she goes to the cops. However, this turns out to be the least suspicious thing to occur in the following week. A new boy at Penelope's school invites her over to dinner, and suddenly she's being informed that she's involved in a prophecy (which was written on, excuse me, is that toilet paper?) to help stop an evil mastermind named Sir Dastardly and reclaim the prized Purity Crystal. Pen's reaction? (Well, after she goes a little crazy with her stun gun.) For reasons she still can't explain, to help him and his family take down Sir Dastardly and-so they tell her-to help save the world. Well, not all evil plots end the way we assume, right? Broken Compass Year
It's the year 2008, and sixteen-year-old Royce Fontaine is looking forward to a long summer vacation alone with his siblings. If by 'looking forward' you mean 'totally dreading', that is. Their island is abandoned, and abandoned islands tend to be boring. Three months of boredom tend to make siblings fight, if for no other reason than to have something to do. So when things get weird and his father offers up a prospective vacation -- a real one, off the island and without the odious presence of his older brother -- Royce finds himself thrilled at the possibilities. New places, new people who don't know him as the pathetic geek that he is, maybe even a summer fling, provided he manages to find a way to get girls to notice him. It seems as if he can't lose. But then his father asks for his help carrying the load in the household, and he finds himself unexpectedly dealing with some consequences -- not of his own actions, but of his father's. Cast adrift in the multiverse, it falls to Royce to protect his younger sister in a fight for survival with nothing but his wits and a broken compass. Book 2 in a series about a family struggling to come together against powerful forces with a vested interest in keeping them apart.Complete

It all started in 2079 with the three of them. First there was the boy, who loved robotics and chess, but was crushed by a robot run amok. Then there was the general, who wasn't about to let something as trivial as a fatal illness interfere with his plan to take over the Federation of North America. And finally, the girl: being groomed by her wealthy and influential father for business success and political power, she was cut down in a freak car accident. The general got his wish to be made robotic, and proceeded to topple the provincial government of Foredan on his way to taking on the rest of the Federation. The boy's father, clinging to his last emotional connection with his late wife, put his son's soul into a memorial robot; but the robot boy got tangled up in the general's machinations, and fell into the hands of the renegade Followers of the Anointed One. The girl, having being roboticized at her father's expense, threw her lot in with the general's scheme, intending to ride his coattails to the power she sought. None of them counted on the Prophet. Would the boy, having been granted a 'great and terrible' destiny when he hung between death and life, be able to find his way to it ... on the Deep Black Road?Complete
