Instead of Thomas and Martha Wayne dying in the alley, Bruce Wayne died, and never became the fabled Dark Knight.
What if, his father became Batman, and fought crime in his son's honor. Except, every Batman must have a Joker, but what if that Joker wasn't a stranger..... but your own wife.

As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it! Jane Clair and Bruce Wayne have known each other since the two were in diapers their family were close school friends growing up. Jane a simple young woman who always does her best to stay away from trouble is distanced from Bruce after his parent's death. Although Bruce Wayne loves and cares for her he feard that every time he is near her only danger will creep behind her so when he becomes the protector of Gotham and the villains have discovered his soft spot his one goal is to keep her from danger. Even though she has other things planned herself.
