Cleo McCloud is a headstrong girl, but he bitterness to all is questionable. Her strength comes from the senseless verbal and physical (not sexual) abuse from her father that began when her mother fell ill. Constantly being shunned and treated like an animal, Cleo gave up on life until she meets two boys. Hunter, she found placing a rose on her bed, and claiming he was dead and lived in her basement. The other, Zephyr, she met in school. Winning her over with his grin and understanding of her home life, Cleo becomes stuck. While Zephyr shows her the wonders of a real happy life, Hunter introduces her to the dark parts of her mind and mixes it with dark love. Will she let her hatred for her father, but love for the evil grow, or will she choose hope and life outside of the house with Zephyr?

"You asked me if I'd seen him Then you asked about the smell Sorry, but I'll see you again At the high school reunion in hell" A girl who is desperate for the whole world to love her. A band that hates each other. Secrets best kept hidden and a tangled web of lies. Sometimes a fantasy is better than reality. Cleo Radford knew what she was getting into when it happened, she knew she would have to lie and cheat her way to back to the freedom she had robbed herself of. The voices in her head weren't all to blame, they had to come from somewhere inside of her. If she had known what a stupid music assignment and a few mistakes would get her into back then, she might've told the truth. Now her only choice is to run, and hope that she doesn't trip over her web of deceit. The only problem is, it's difficult to hide when there's a trail of dead bodies behind you and blood on your hands.
