in which sultan suleiman's second son - şehzade murad - survives. -•-•-•-•-•- isolde venier was just ten years old when tartars raided her father's ship in albania, slaughtering her mother and setting isolde's path in stone - one that would eventually lead to the topkapi palace, istanbul. in 1515, she gave birth to şehzade süleymân's second son in manisa: şehzade murad, who became the centre of her world. yet, in 1520, death tried to rip him from her. isolde - then şirin - railed against death and fate, and her son survived against all odds. vengeance burning in her heart, knowing the culprit behind her son's poisoning is none other than the mother of the sultan's third son, şirin sultan eventually rejoins the harem in istanbul. however, şirin is out of favour with the sultan, and it seems that a new woman has carved out a place in his heart. amongst the blood, death and sharpened tongues of the harem, only one şehzade may rise. şirin will do anything to ensure it's hers.
