Journey with me back in time as I rewrite the first Journal I kept from when I was in high school, and see that maybe even with how horrible life is most of the times, there are little things spread throughout that make life worth living. My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world. Life is a beautiful mess. It's not perfect, and filled with a lot of disappointments, and heartbreak. There are moments when it all feels too much, but there's not much we can do other than go with the flow of things.

Well... this is kinda the story of my life . Almost all of it .

Hi I'm Hammy and its my real life story. It's about my life, my love. Many people believe that I had a really perfect life, a life full of roses and straight paths with no bumps. Do you know what they say? 'Nobody is perfect.' I am here to verify that saying, I do not have a perfect life. Story of my life relates to every common guy who struggles to get the girl he loves.

Why does life come with so many different possible answers to the same question? Which answer is the correct one and how do you know for sure? Finding your true self, amid all the decisions you're forced to make in growing up, is quite a battle, isn't it? I was doing okay. Really I was. Then I literally bumped into him and that was it. That was when everything changed. My life took a new turn and became an exciting adventure. I found myself swept along in a sea of change that I either had to swim along with, or sink and drown. It was a no brainer to swim but fully embracing the changes to the way I thought and felt was quite a journey. This is my story.

"You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true. This also goes with 'Love'. For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that just can't die. A love, though not being returned, we are still willing to take the risk. We expect that somehow, someday we will be rewarded. But how long can we give that love a chance? Are we really capable of giving so much without asking anything in return? Are we really capable of being happy, just seeing the person we love happy with someone else? How can we untangle something so twisted like LOVE? How can we survive without breaking? Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! My real life experience with fiction added :) Returning from my six year hiatus with a new book....my bad.
