Otabek longs for something more then what his parents want him to do. He wants to venture out to sea with the person he loves and spend the rest of his life on wild adventures. Once he meets Yuri, a lost mermaid wishing for something more than life under the sea, his whole world changes. Will he be happy with the outcome. Or end up drowning in his life of sorrow and forced love.

Yuri is an orphan living with his cousin by the shore. He spends most of his time writing fairy tales and fables. 2 years later, Yuri Plisetsky has a crush on his best friend that he's determined to ignore. Mila is determined to meddle. Yuri overhears a conversation between Mila and Beka that leaves him feeling betrayed. Before he can confront them, he has to leave to nurse his sick Grandpa and his own broken heart. When Beka shows up at Grandpa's door, Yuri doesn't know what to think. Pining with a happy ending. The title and chapter titles are all song titles - songs that I felt are appropriate to the chapters / work and that I think Yuri would listen to. Completed! This is a Yuri!!! On Ice fanfiction following the four main characters (Victor, Yuuri, Yuri(o), and Otabek if you weren't sure) through life after season one. Fair warning, when I started this I had no plot-- one developed but it took a bit. The beginning is mainly fluff but once the story (for all intents and purposes) starts, it'll improve drastically. Alright so I'm a sucker for fluff, so I think this will just be a bunch of adorable idiots like my other fic. This story will contain Otayuri and Victyuuri and it is boyxboy so if you do not like that please don't read. The idea is that Yuri is a worker at a famous cafe called the "Ice Cafe". He works there along with Pichit, Victor, Mila, and Georgi. He makes the pastries for the shop and some of the coffee. Everything is going fine there until a new customer arrives and becomes a frequent. His name is Otabek Altin and whenever he sees Yuri he always gives compliments. A funny word called Love
I ship OtaYuri both romantically and platonically, and I don't really have a preference, but seeing as very few fanfics give importance to platonic love, I thought that I would write one that did. If there's one take away from Yuri on Ice, it's that love is a valuable and precious thing that takes place in many forms. This story is off of one of my headcanons that Yuri and Otabek are both asexual and aromantic, and their friendship goes from being very small to being a qpr (a queer/quasi platonic relationship, which is like dating, except without any romantic aspects, and in this case, without sexual aspects as well).
