Many words fit eighteen-year-old  Alex Lark, but one word in specific suits him: Stress. Between his parents' pressure, his coach's insistence, his sister's troubles, and school, Alex feels about ready to snap. So when he starts to hear a voice inside of his head, that's what he thinks is happening.

However, he soon realizes that the voice isn't just a voice. The voice is a person, and her name is Rebecca. And she's from the past. 

As the two struggle to understand their strange form of telepathy,  a  tale of impossible circumstances and misfortunes comes about, causing Alex to find a sudden interest in his heritage, and causing Rebecca to find hope and courage despite her life as a slave during the Civil War. Together, the two of them keep each other sane. 

But nothing can last forever...and one of them is running out of time.

But when the opposite pair start spending time together, Tanner starts to see a whole new side of Autumn, and at the same time, the two grow closer to each other. But being an Aspie is not easy for Autumn, all she wants is to be normal, but she knows she can't. She has to suffer from her disability every day, while at the same time dealing with the people who see her as the odd one out. But Tanner isn't going to let that happen, he will do anything to give Autumn the Senior year she deserves. This is no normal romantic story, it's different, it's unique. (Rated Mature for language)
