Katherine Pierce and Serena Hollow have two things in common. Number one being that they both hate each others guts and number two being they are both in love with vampires. Yes, vampires are real in the modern 21st century and yes Katherine and Serena managed or more like were destined to end up in the middle of a thousand year old feud between them and a very angry, extremely sexy, but very dangerous vampire who wants their heads on a stake.
