All Noemi Jensen ever wished for honesty. Unknown to anybody, even herself, her body had been fighting a gradual form of chronic leukemia since she was born. It goes by unnoticed until the day she collapses at school and is admitted to a hospital where doctors discover her leukemia. Months go by and at this point, Noemi is tired of everything: being stuck in the hospital, all the futile surgeries, and especially everyone's reluctance to accept her imminent death like she has. During a discussion with her parents and doctors about her next series of procedures, she gets tired of all of it and runs out. She doesn't get very far as she is stopped by an unexpected boy. An unexpected boy who might give her a reason to hope and strive for living.
