The ugly jagged scar runs down my arm about 3 inches in length. Taking deep breathes; I close my eyes and let my finger run down the scar. I’ve never told anyone how I got this scar, when people ask I always tell them it’s from an accident while I was at work. Escaping from a house with a young child in my tow. I say a ceiling beam fell down on me and it tore through my arm. The first part is true but the beam never fell, that part is a lie.

“Please, step out of the door way.” I pleaded, analysing every possible route of escape. I decided on the side opposite the broken bottle, and charged toward him, ducking under his arm, until a big arm grabbed the back of my uniform, choking me slightly as he pulled me in front of him as he turned around. “Don’t move, or it’ll hurt more” He smirked, the cold of the bottle touching my neck as he ripped open the buttons on my uniform to reveal my grey bra. “I love collar bones.” He winked, grabbing the bottle with his left hand, still holding onto my collar and tracing my collar bones with the broken glass, occasionally digging in enough to reveal blood. I tried to keep a straight face and look strong when all I really want to do is cry. You're on your usual shift, on your usual floor, cleaning your usual rooms when an angry hotel guest comes in and gets pretty angry and attacks you, you try to escape and knock on every door in the hallway in desperate attempt to escape, does anyone open the door? You would be surprised how much only two words could affect you. He said them with great confidence and a hint of something that made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight.
