Taking place around the time of Volume 4, this story is primarily a series of letters exchanged between Ruby and Weiss. Ruby feels she needs to speak to someone. 

Weiss may have some things to talk about as well.  Over the weeks communicated, the two find solace and comfort in one another's letters, and what's more, it seems that feelings had attached themselves to those letters as well. Ruby becomes Weiss' confidant, Weiss becomes Ruby's counsel and it has become ever apparent that the two must find each other again.

An incident occurs in the building involving Weiss and Ruby to finally meet face to face. After countless run ins, Ruby has asked Weiss to come over to her place to get to know each other better. That's when Weiss finds out about the letters and wants to do something to ease Ruby's pain and suffering, and her solution: taking her on a date.
