. Charlotte "Charlie" Hayes is heart-broken when her boyfriend bids her a hurtful and cruel farewell, screwing her over and embarrassing her in front of the entire school population. She spent countless nights crying into her ice cream as she watched Disney movie marathons with her best friend. The devastation piles on when her father passes, and she's forced to move with her estranged mother she's never met before and her husband and child. Although Charlie refuses, she has no other option and she's got her bags packed, taking a multiple methods of transportation to the outskirts of California to live with her mother in a luxurious beach house close to the shore. The only plus? She'd get lots of time to brush up on her surfing skills. And things just may be looking up when she meets Dylan Andrews by a coincidence - a cute beach boy with dark hair and a nice personality who, ironically, babysits her younger stepsister. But what if she happens to run into some of his family, and Charlie just so happens to be tied with them in the most uncomfortable ways? copyright © bree s. and lana p. photo creds go to rightful owners. no infringement is intended.

Chloe Hayes had a simple, yet content life living with her mother in Tempe, Arizona. Although her life was hectic as she juggled her senior year of high school, a loving boyfriend, a job and a sick mother, she managed to maintain good grades and a positive attitude. Other than the fact that her father hadn't been in her life more than a card on her birthday and the signature on a check to pay for her schooling, and her mother was ill with cancer, Chloe had nothing to complain about. She held a 4.0 GPA along with a personality and the looks that most girls would kill for. It was just a normal day in her life when she was given something to complain about though. . . Tragedy strikes and Chloe is left without any choice but to move to San Diego where her father lives with his new girlfriend and her son. Immediately upon her arrival at her new home, Chloe puts up a front, not allowing herself to go through the massive pain she's had to deal with all in the past week again. She's done letting the hurt overtake her life. What happens when she finds the one person who is slowly breaking through her façade she's put on? A friend of mine asked me to post this story on here because they didn't have an account so yeah, enjoy!
