Landon Ashford. Star quarterback. And keeping up with the stereotype, he's a Grade-A asshole. Normally, I would have kept my mouth shut. But Hayley just confessed to him that she's really into him and wants to go out on a date with him. "Helena, you're not adequate enough for me," he mocks. "And you're not even pretty enough to ignore your lack of a personality. So please get it through your head: Dating you is out of the question." Cue the laughter of his loyal pack of brainless minions. Cue Hayley's tears. And cue me-finally snapping. I step towards him with slow claps, "Impressive." He looks at me questioningly so I continue, "When you were a little boy, your parents said they wanted you to be exotic. But the dyslexic you misunderstood. And now you're just toxic." "Excuse me?" he is annoyed. "Just because I don't want to date your petty friend doesn't mean I'm toxic." "With all due respect, which is none, this has nothing to do with you rejecting Hayley," I maintain an even sarcasm with my tone, loud enough for half of the cafeteria. "It's about your words. Seven thousand languages in this world and still you chose to speak shit." "Your friend needs to understand her place, in whatever language she gets," he states. "Audacity must be on sale this year, right?" I ask everyone around. I could hear a few giggles from some students and my friends. As their fight continues, Shanaya Kapoor starts to realise... she is making an enemy out of Landon Ashford, the golden boy. And Prince Charming sure will be ruthless towards this evil witch trying to dethrone him. It's going to be a trying time for the rest of her days at the university. Which have just started.

Jordan never noticed Juliet. Juliet had given up to get his attention. And if they end up hiding together in the same closet, he can't stop talking about himself. So how to shut him up? Kissing him... *** Jordan Decker is an arrogant senior in King Valley, a footballer and an A-grade student. All teachers liked him, girls adored him and guys wanted to be friends with. A total cliche. And like always, in every girly romantic book, he has the gorgeous girlfriend, luxury car and EGO as big as New York City. Juliet Maine has a lot on her plate, working as a waitress in Lory's Diner she is asked to open a new business in her hometown. After graduation she will fly to New York to study law at NYU, leaving her family behind and start her independent life. When she is pulled into her highschool's crush's love-life problems, she finally understands why falling in love with him was a bad idea. But she doesn't know that Jordan had noticed her from day one. *** PREVIEW into chapter 8 I climb up the stairs and find myself in a long corridor what spread to two directions. Matt's bedroom was on the east wing so I turn to my left and walk toward the last door in the end. But before I can reach half way, a door on my right opens and out runs Jordan. We bump into each other. "What the..???" I steady myself, grabbing his jacket and prevent myself from falling backward. "Run!" He says. "What?" I release him. "Run," he grabs my hand and starts pulling me with him. "Why would I...?" I turn around while I'm dragged toward the stairs and see Tiffany, all angry and face cherry red come throw the door Jordan had exited a minute ago. "You dirty bitch!" She yells at the top of her lungs as she sees me, Jordan's hand still gripes me. Amazing cover by @uniqueread.
