A fourteen year-old girl from a small village, dealing with an absent mother and haunting memories about her dead father, is one day pushed past the border into the land of the Fae. Defenseless, she is soon met with danger, and is saved by an unexpected force. But is her safety worth the price she must pay? Giving her life to a cause she only just discovered?
She is only sure of one thing; She cannot, and maybe does not want to, go back.
Follow Alvera as she is forced out of the world she has always known, and into one torn by war and old rivalries, as her and her saviour hunt down the mysterious leader of the opposite side known only as 'Satan's Child'.
