Hermione Granger was lost after the war. She had a strange make-out session in the midst of the battle of Hogwarts with Ron. But it hadn't come up any time afterwards. Too many funerals, too many to mourn. Too much had happened for her to slip back into normalcy, like her well-worn pleated school skirt. Or old patterns, like the role of wholesome heroine among a sea of royal rag-tags.
