Short Story: One COMPLETED and EDITED She was there every weekend, with her nose buried deep down in romantic books. She was oblivious to almost everything, even to the Man who visited that place, even though he had no interest in books, only for her. _________________________________________ She smiled shyly, and muttered, "You know me so well." "Of course I know. I know almost everything about you." He said the last words in a whisper while tucking a strand of her hair. Her heart beat raced, cheeks became hot and tips of her ear full red. She didn't dare to look at him. He cupped her chin and pulled her face towards him softly, making her look at him. "You have no idea how beautiful you are, in and out." He whispered looking in her eyes intently, with so much love for her. She was panting slightly by now. He cupped her right cheek, brushing it with his thumb slowly, feeling the softness of her skin. She leaned her face towards to his palm, loving the touch and the warmth it was giving. The feeling was new to her. The touch was new to her. ************Complete

He turned around and smiled. Oh my lord. This guy was even hotter up close. I shoved all the thoughts from my head and said "Hi. My name's Ava." He smiled again and said "Nice to meet you. I'm Zander." That's all he could say before I kissed him. He immediately tensed up, but then he did something I didn't expect. He kissed me back and grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. I opened my mouth a little in shock, and his tongue went in my mouth. He tasted like rainwater and peppermint. Despite myself, I moaned a little when he deepened the kiss even further. After what felt like 2 hours, we broke apart. "I'm sorry," he said blushing a little "but it just kinda clicked." he explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's okay." I said, also starting to blush a little. For 2 minutes the awkward just settled between us, and I swear it was tangible. He broke the silence first, finally meeting my eyes and not staring at his high-tops. "So...", he started and chuckled nervously "Could I get your number?" I stared at him for a second wondering if it would even be a good idea, when he said "I know we don't know each other, but I felt fireworks just now, and even if we don't go on a date, I'd love to see you again." Soon enough the 'secrets' start seeping through the woodwork as a danger arrives to the island and Delilah's world takes on a few new layers of madness.
