He successfully blocked my exit and managed to wrap his arms around my waist. 

I frowned at his words then decided to give him a  smirk,

I leaned in closer to his lips and whispered where Rylan had taken me last night.

Michael's wife and daughter had been murdered because of his line of business so when a close friend and his friend's wife asked Michael to watch over their daughter, he didn't hesitate but his friends went missing soon after.

Eighteen years later Micheal had raised a girl capable of kicking anyone's ass 

No family, no actual friends, and no ties to people in general Michael made sure his friend's daughter was safe.

Expecting the man to have almost caught up with me, I look up only to see his back as he runs after Michael. *** 18 year old Blaze is kidnapped and taken from her home town along with her best friend Michael. When she gets there she easily assumes what they could want from her. Drugs, sex, money? But what if, it's something more? Something that never crossed Blaze's mind?
